The making of things - scrap garland edition

I do love me a bunting or garland.
Plus they are super quick to make usually.
I am still feeling terrible. Which is getting me down.
But last night the kiddos went with their dad for a few hours for dinner.

I felt a twinge of creativity.
For a change I didn't scrapbook but I grabbed my scrap material bag and decided to make a quick garland that I have wanted to make for a long time.

Super simple, it is imperfect (which is kinda perfect to me), colourful, and also among all those scraps are stories from our family.

Two of the fabrics were used in the making of Christmas stockings.

Another in a dress up for a kindy book day.

Others for tote bags that were given as a midwinter Christmas gift.

Another in an apron.

So I took down a tea towel that had been hanging in my kitchen for almost 2 years and popped this up instead. And the bonus is it didn't cost a cent. Just using things I had in my scrap bag.

Just love your garland!!!! Really like it when there are stories to tell from the fabrics used..whether in a quilt, a garland or hanging or other creation ... So glad that you found enough concentration for some creative space. REALLY hope that you can find a lot more stability soon..it's so exhausting being on the edge all the time, quite apart from anything else. Much love Catherine x0x0x
